Volunteer: Be the Change & Help Babies!

Krisley

Here's your chance to be the change & help babies!

Who:

You, by yourself or with a group of friends and family

What you'll be doing:

It's simple, really. We'll be working together to pack diapers.

Where:

Our office is located in downtown Kaukauna

When:

We can be flexible on time! Come for an hour or two, and make a difference!

Why:

Here in the U.S., one in three families struggles to afford the basic need of diapers for their babies. For the babies we serve overseas, the situation is much worse! By providing the basic need of diapers, caregivers can focus on meeting the other needs of their babies.

Volunteer: Bigs Needed!

Getting Involved

Every week, more than 500 men and women of the Fox Valley Region share their lives with their little brothers and sisters. They may go to the beach, see a movie, or throw a frisbee around at the park. They talk about life, school and family. They learn about each other, themselves and what it means to be a friend.

Who is a Big?
Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and Big Couples are all kinds of people -- from college students to business people to retirees -- who volunteer to spend time with children. Bigs sometimes spend as little as one hour each week with a child in need. Through this mentoring program, both child and adults share everyday experiences that enrich the lives of all involved. Applicants must be at least 15 years or older to participate in our Site Based Program, or 16 years or older and have a valid drivers license to participate in our Community Based Program. We ask that our Volunteers are able to commit to at least one full school year or calendar year to be a Big.

Who is a Little?
Littles are youths, from 6 through 14 years old, who come to Big Brothers Big Sisters either through a parent, guardian or the Big Brothers Big Sisters In Schools program, through the recommendation of a teacher. Littles are from single and two-parent homes, from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The genesis of a match is that a parent, guardian or teacher believes that a child could benefit from the presence of an additional caring adult in his/her life. The parent or guardian gives permission for the child to participate.
